Mission Statement

Committed to providing the highest quality all hazards service to the citizens and visitors of Frenchtown Charter Township through progressive training, prevention, and the public education.

About the Fire Department

The Frenchtown Fire Department is a combination department made up of full-time and paid-on-call firefighters. The Department Chief, Wendy Stevens; Shift Captain and Department Secretary, Angie Ashcraft staff the headquarters at Station 1. The Shift Lieutenant staffs Station #2. Both Station 1 and Station 2 have at least two full-time firefighters (including the Officer) on duty 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

The department has four fire stations located in Frenchtown Township. Most of the department firefighters have become Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) or Paramedics. We have 18 full-time firefighters and 4 paid-on-call (POC) firefighters. POC firefighters must live in the township or within 1 mile of the township boundary and respond from their homes.
